I have written grants before but never with an editing team. The experience was so much more productive and motivating than a writing group or getting one-time feedback from a mentor that I can’t even compare them.  The assistance of the Juan/Matthews team came right when it was hardest to write and as a result they were a much more effective catalyst than a reviewer after you’ve done all the drafting work already. I found their ability to wordsmith absolutely invaluable but to also have someone reading the ideas and being able to recommend removing or moving a point to a different part of the grant was solid gold feedback. I still felt like it was my ideas and my grant, but I achieved a cohesive draft 1000x faster than I would have on my own. 10/10 will use again! Hopefully when I need a grant renewal.
